The Eighth International Conference on Hyaluronan will be held in Kyoto, Japan! June 6 – 11, 2010. Please check back for more information in the coming months (via the 2010 Conference tab listed above).
The previous conferences, held in St.Tropez, France; London, UK; Padua, Italy; Stockholm, Sweden; Wrexham, Wales and Cleveland, Ohio, USA were all highly successful, and demonstrated the phenomenal growth in the interest in Hyaluronan research.
We organized exciting programs on this highly dynamic field. The programs covered basic, clinical and applied sciences.
Sessions included:
- Hyaluronan synthesis and degradation
- The structure and function of hyaluronan-binding proteins
- Hyaluronan-mediated signaling in normal and pathological processes
- Functions of hyaluronan and modified hyaluronan in physiological and pathological systems
- The role of hyaluronan in development and stem/progenitor cell behavior
- Hyaluronan in tissue regeneration, tissue engineering and therapeutic applications
- Hyaluronan in tissue injury, inflammatory disease processes and inflammatory cell interactions
- Emerging hot topics/future directions in the field
